Filipino Hauntings in Southern California?  [3 members]
Six years ago I met my biological father for the very first time. After years of soul searching I found him living in Antique, Philippines. He had married a filipina woman (my really cool and wild step-mother) and had two beautiful girls (my half-sisters).
Eventually I made the trip to the Philippines meeting a family I never growing up. This expereince became the most important moment in my life for two reasons. The first being meeting my family. The second was my crash course in Filipino folklore (Engkantos, Duendes, Kapries, and Aswangs).
During my stay I saw a beautiful woman standing at the foot of my bed during the night. My sisters said this was a encantada.
Later on during college I developed my encounter academically under the guidance of two professors, which became my most rewarding experience in college.
I would like to explore filipino folklore in the U.S. Do these supernatural beings visit other countries with traveling Filipinos? Would love to hear any stories that may be out there.
